Currently The Light is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays from 2:30pm to 4:30pm and Sundays 10:30-12:00 noon.
Almost always our Director is on site during open hours. Additionally, there are (2) adults ALWAYS on site during open hours who have undergone Ministry Safe Training, extensive background checks, and receive ongoing experience and training in adolescent behavior and development.
Admission to weekly open hours is FREE, we do accept donations for certain events and ongoing guitar lessons, and items at the snackbar in the Cafe.

We are a Teen Center welcoming young people ages 13-17 (18 as long as they are still attending High School).
The Light Teen Center is an outreach of St. Luke's Ministries, housed in the building at the front of the property. We also work with many churches in the greater Akron area.
Parents are welcomed to schedule a tour with our Director as well as come in for a brief walk-through accompanied by a Staff Member at any event that their child is attending. We must maintain strict adult fraternization procedures in order to keep our young people safe. *If you would like to learn how you can be come a volunteer see our "volunteer staff" page.
St. Luke's Ministries maintains the building, property, Directors salary and annual operating budget of The Light Teen Center. In the future, we hope to secure donations from community members and to partner with local businesses to expand our programming to the greater Akron area.
